Most folks know the most popular mushrooms including button, baby bella, portabella, oyster and shiitake.

But there are others which are not your run-of-the-mill kinds -- known as specialty mushrooms. While Kitchen Pride Mushroom Farms does not grow these in Gonzales, we have suppliers who ship to us, and chefs and retailers can order these from us. These specialty mushrooms are grown in the United States. Kitchen Pride does not import any mushrooms from China, just in case you are curious! 

The specialty mushrooms include the following: 

White Beech – also known as white clamshell, buna shimeji, hon-shimeji

Brown Beech – known as brown clamshell, buna-shimeji

King Trumpet – king oyster, French horn, gourmet scallop, eryngii

Maitake – Hen of the Woods.
